Welcome to ProFunds Technical Charting! Spot significant trends and movements in the ProFunds and their underlying indexes.
Technical Charts let you custom-build price charts for ProFunds or their underlying indexes. These charts allow you to overlay indicators, such as a simple moving average or exponential moving average, on top of the price bars. They also feature indicator windows that can appear above or below the price chart, displaying information such as moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) or relative strength index (RSI).
Point & Figure Charts use rising columns of X's and descending columns of O's to represent significant price movements without regard to the passage of time. Use these charts to easily spot trends and support/resistance levels. The dynamic interface gives you control of the variables in ''real time.''
Gallery Charts provide short-, mid- and long-term views for a ProFund or underlying index on one page. The short-term view shows recent market action and the major moving averages. The mid-term view features a daily candlestick chart with two indicators. Finally, the long-term view displays a broad perspective with a weekly candlestick chart and two indicators.
CandleGlance Charts contain up to 10 mini-candlestick charts for you to study as a group. These identically formatted charts can help you quickly scan for common candlestick patterns, and easily see short, medium, long-term views. Controls at the bottom of the page let you change the timeframe and add an indicator on each chart. You can create your own group of CandleGlance Charts or choose from one of our predefined groups.
Technical Scans list several technical indicators and shows the number of ProFunds and indexes that have ''triggered'' that indicator on the previous day. For instance, one of the indicators is ''new 52-week high.'' The scan results show the number of ProFunds and indexes that have established a new 52-week high. Clicking on a number will show you a list of the individual ProFunds or indexes that triggered the indicator.
More detailed instructions and definitions of chart terminology are provided with each chart.
